If you’re looking for perfect poses and everyone smiling at the same time… I’m probably not the photographer for you. But if you love tickle fights, sticky hands, and genuine grins — we’ll get along just fine. My Perth photography sessions are part playdate, part adventure, and a whole lot of fun.

Now I get to step into other families’ worlds for a little while — to laugh with your kids, listen to your stories, and capture the magic in the mess. I’m not here to make anyone sit still or “smile for the camera.” I want you to run, play, tickle, and just be yourselves. Those are the photos you’ll look back on and feel.

I love photographing families at home, at the beach, or wherever you feel most like you. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but mostly, I’m just there documenting what unfolds — the love, the noise, and all the beautiful, unscripted in-between moments.

Hey, I'm Kaz

I’m a mum of two wild, wonderful girls and the face behind the camera. We live in sunny Freo, where you’ll usually find us jumping waves, covered in sand, or hunting down the best playground.

I’ve always been obsessed with the little moments — the ones that don’t make it into posed portraits but tell the real story. The chaos, the cuddles, the giggles, the meltdowns — all the bits that make family life what it really is. Becoming a mum made me see how quickly it all changes, and that’s what made me pick up my camera with purpose.

How does the booking process work? +

After getting in touch I will reach out via email within 48 hours. From there, we will work together to figure out the best date for your session and once that date is confirmed, I will email you a non-refundable $100 booking fee. After paying your deposit, your date will be officially "reserved." The remainder of your session fee is due a week before your session date.

What if my kids don’t “behave”? +

Kids are kids—I'm not expecting them to perform. If someone melts down, we take a break. If they want to run around instead of pose, we follow their lead. The best photos usually happen when we stop trying to force it and just let them be themselves.

HOT TIP: don’t “warn” your kids to behave before a shoot because they’ll immediately not want to do it. Instead, show them you’re excited! Monkey see, monkey do! Tell them you’re going on an adventure with mum and dad and your friend is going to be there to take photos of the fun they’re having!

When will we get our photos? +

Your full gallery will be ready within 4 weeks of your session. You'll get over 80 edited images in a private online gallery where you can select your favourites for your package, download, and share.

How long is a family session? +

About an hour, but we're not watching the clock. Some families need 45 minutes, others stretch to 90—it depends on your kids' energy and how the session flows. I'd rather finish early with great photos than drag it out when everyone's done.

What if it rains on the day of our shoot? +

If it rains we will reschedule to a date that works for all of us.

What should we wear? +

The most important thing to do is wear something you feel good in, it will show in the photos! I love editing with EARTH tones (brown, rust, olive, mustard, beige) and mixing in JEWEL tones (turquoise, jade, maroon) will give your photos a beautiful pop of colour. I suggest incorporating this colour palette into your wardrobe, and my tip of the day is to dress the fussiest person first! Then get everyone else to work around them.

Also, it's best to compliment each other's outfits rather than match them. Try to add some texture and patterns like stripes or checks to add depth. AVOID grey and navy as they tend to make the photos quite cold and no bold patterns or logos. Unless the vibe is to be bold, in which case dress for the vibe and location! I can't stress enough how much the clothing matters to how your photos will turn out.
